Resonance
Inquiry

Can resonance be chosen, or only recognised?

If what is true for us was true before we arrived — if resonance is discovered, not built — then what is the role of the will? What, exactly, is ours to decide?

Perhaps the answer is that we do not choose the frequencies. We choose only whether to listen. The will is not a composer. It is an ear. Its dignity is in its willingness to hear, and its courage is in its willingness to act on what it hears even when the hearing is inconvenient.

Or perhaps this is wrong. I leave the question standing.
